Ölduselsskóli's 50th anniversary celebrated with grand festival

Last Thursday, Ölduselsskóli's 50th anniversary was celebrated with great ceremony. The area was packed, with an estimated 500 guests coming to celebrate this milestone with us.

Principal Erla Erlendsdóttir opened the celebration with a speech and birthday song, and the Árbær and Breiðholt Brass Band played several entertaining songs for guests. Various entertainment was offered for all age groups, including bounce houses, a climbing wall, cotton candy and popcorn, kayaks and a monster truck. Food trucks from Reykjavík Streetfood sold refreshments that many people enjoyed in the beautiful weather.

The celebration was a success, and students, staff and school supporters were pleased with the day. We thank everyone who helped with planning and organizing the celebration and made the day memorable.
