The Young People's Icelandic Language Award was presented at a ceremony at Harpa on November 17. Three students from Ölduselsskóli were among this year's recipients.
Young People's Icelandic Language Award 2025
On Nov. 17, the City of Literature Reykjavík presented the Young People's Icelandic Language Award. at a ceremony in Harpa, graced by the presence of former President Vigdís Finnbogadóttir. The Icelandic Language Award recognizes students in Reykjavík primary schools who have excelled in Icelandic studies, home reading, and the use of both spoken and written language.
Three students from Ölduselsskóli were among this year's recipients: Lóna Glódís Traustadóttir (4th grade), Laura Kaczmarek (6th grade), and Rama Abou Fayad Douara (10th grade). We congratulate them.
