Ölduselsskóli theme days

Ölduselsskóli hosted theme days on March 25 and 26th These days offer a break from the standard routine, replacing traditional lessons with activities tied to various areas of the national curriculum for primary schools. This time, the event focused on social development and positive interactions.

Student projects centered on acts of kindness. The theme explored how people can be considerative, caring, and supportive of one another. Students created kindness trees and gift cards for their parents, hosted a mitten swap market, and participated in numerous other kindness-themed activities. Upper primary school students collected old plush toys, assigning each a name, interests, a backstory, and a list of books they want read to them. These toys will go to students in the youngest level, who can read aloud to them as reading companions.

An open parent-teacher interview day on March 27 gave parents the chance to view the work students produced during the theme days. Parent turnout was strong.
